Biography:
I started dressage training with Tracey Woodhead in 2007 and quickly became hooked.

I joined BYRDS and attended lots of the training clinics and went to their camp a twice yearly event which is great fun.  At this stage I felt that all the other riders and ponies were miniature Ankys and never expected to ever be as good as them!  But with a lot of determination and dedicated training at home it all started coming together.

In 2009 I was chosen to compete as a team member on my pony Biscuit for the BYRDS Eastern Region.  Our first competition was the BYRDS Inter Regionals at Keysoe where we came 10th overall.  We then went to the Home Internationals in Wales.  At this event we were allowed to wear the English flag - on our jacket and on our numnah, it made it all very special.  The weather was appalling, the wettest week in Wales ever and we got drenched but we managed a 10th in the Novice on the last day.

I won the BYRDS Eastern Region Talent Spotting Young Juniors 2009 - it was really great to ride someone elses pony and an achievement I am really proud of.

Our final BYRDS Team Competition of the summer was the Sheepgate Under 25s Championship.  Fantastic week for me - I got an individual 1st and 7th, a 8th overall and my team was placed 4th.  A brilliant end to a great summer.

I am now going to concentrate on training Chester over the winter - we will build a good partnership and start competing and hopefully by the spring be bringing home some red rosies!
