Jo Aston is a professional event rider based near Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds. She events horses from Pre Novice to Advanced level three day events, and also trains riders of all levels. Through her achievements with numerous different horses, Jo has gained the respect of many top level riders and trainers. Jo attributes much of her success to the help she was given through the Pony Club – “I didn’t have anything other than a young horse and a hunger to learn and achieve, but the help I received from the North Warwickshire Pony Club nurtured my desire to event and make it, despite not coming from a horsey background”. Jo became one of the youngest chief instructors in the country, and gained the prestigious Pony Club “A” Test with Honours, an award which is only held by a handful of people throughout the world today.
Jo has six horses to compete including three at Advanced level. She trains with Pammy Hutton, Roland Fernyhough and Lucinda Green, and currently competes Lucinda’s former ride Cry Freedom. She hopes to ride at Badminton next year, and ultimately aims for GB selection.
She says “I really appreciate the support Martin is giving me. Having to ‘make do’ for much of my professional career; it is only since riding in equipment from Martin that I realise what a difference it makes. If you want to transform your performance, then I suggest you contact Martin – his experience and professionalism will help you gain the results you need”.
